Symposium "20 Years of Progress in Radar Altimetry"

The "20 years of Progress in Radar Altimetry" symposium will take place in Venice-Lido on 24 of Sptember 2012

Radar altimetryTo mark the occasio of the 20 years anniversary of the launch of ERS-1 and TOPEX/POSEIDON, the European Space Agency, in collaboration with the French Space Agency (CNES), is organising an international Symposium on Radar Altimetry. This follows on from the "15 Years of Progress in Radar Altimetry" Symposium in 2006.
This event will be sponsored by other partner agencies and organisations supporting the development of altimetry.

The deadline for abstracts submission is the 15 of February 2012.

During the Symposium week, several related altimetry events will take place, including the annual meeting of the Ocean Surface Topography Science Team (OSTST), the International Doris Service (IDS) Workshop and the Argo Science Workshop.  Other thematic workshops (like Sea Level for Climate, Coastal Altimetry) are being organised in or around the same week.
