SHAPE conference: "From the scientific knowledge to the Maritime Spatial Planning; a perspective on the Veneto Region"
The Conference on scientific knowledge and maritime spatial planning will take place on the 7th of June 2013 in Venice at the Veneto Region.
The conference is organized by the Veneto Region, within the SHAPE project ("Shaping an Holistic Approach to Protect Environment between the Adriatic coast and sea"), funded by the IPA Adriatic Pprogramme.
The overall objective of the project is to promote a multi-level and cross-sectoral system of governance in order to ensure a more sustainable use of the Adriatic sea and its resources.The implementation and integration of the different tools of governance, including the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) and Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) must be based on sound scientific knowledge.
The Director of CORILA, Pierpaolo Campostrini, will attend the event giving a presentation titled: "Towards a European directive on Maritime spatial planning and coastal management "
