Conferenza "Building Cities Resilience to Disasters"
Il 19 e 20 Marzo 2012 si è tenuta a Venezia, Palazzo Ducale, Piazza San marco, la Conferenza “Building Cities Resilience to Disasters: Protecting Cultural Heritage and Adapting to Climate Change” organizzata dall'Agenzia "United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction" (UNISDR) e dal Comune di Venezia, in collaborazione con CORILA.
Questo evento ha esaminato il ruolo chiave svolto dalle misure di "riduzione del rischio delle catastrofi" riguardo la tutela del patrimonio culturale, esplorando le politiche di adattamento ai cambiamenti climatici e dei piani a livello locale. Un'importante finalità è facilitare la condivisione di buone pratiche dalle città attraverso lo scambio diretto.
Assieme ad una sessione Poster, l'evento ha offerto altre attività culturali, compresa una visita in battello alle opere di difesa dalle maree in costruzione alle bocche di porto della laguna di Venezia (MOSE).
